I beg to differ with Gary Richardson's assessment that SB2 would be like a sledgehammer to the town of Hopkinton should SB2 pass. The drop of the gavel at school district meetings have been enough to make losers of us all. No sooner does the gavel drop then the spending begins, with little hesitation or question to the impact on the town as a whole. No tax solution at the state level will provide relief to taxpayers. Decreased spending at the local level is the first priority. Representative Richardson has a unique opportunity to support legislation to push back unfunded mandates on all levels. How about it Gary , can we count on your leadership in responsible spending, or will we just keep finding new ways to divide up ever increasing, irresponsible spending? On March 13, the residents of Hopkinton have a unique opportunity to take charge of spending. It is my hope that everyone will seek to be informed, and get out and vote!
